Hello! We are Laura , Violeta y Mariana . In 2021, we founded cuerpocuerpo, a contemporary artistic and creative collective based in Valencia, Madrid, Buenos Aires and Montevideo. We work with a transdisciplinary approach in museums, art centres and educational institutions in the fields of performing arts, cultural mediation and education.

Our goal is to explore new artistic forms and ways of relating to the cultural context, with a strong anchorage in the body. We start from the understanding that we all have a body to explore with, which is why we promote encounters based on the diversity of physiques, roles, genders, ages and possibilities.

To do this, we use tools such as performance, sound, dance and creative writing, and we use methodologies based on co-creation, listening and the connection with a specific space, to activate bodily, bonding and care experiences. We propose to generate scenarios of collective experimentation, circulation and production of knowledge, recognising bodies as thinking and feeling subjects.

VIOLETA MONTIEL

Buenos Aires, 1991

MA in Cultural Mediation by Universitat de Valencia, Philosophy Professor by Universidad de Buenos Aires and Dance Performer by Universidad Nacional de las Artes.

She is an artist, teacher and researcher. Her work stands at the intersection of artistic and educational practices.

Obtuvo la beca SNDO School for New Dance Development (AHK) en Ámsterdam, donde se formó en nuevas tendencias de la danza contemporánea. Ha sido becaria del programa Complemento Directo en su primera edición, impulsado por hablarenarte y la Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso, para profesionalizarse en mediación cultural.

She is currently working on a project in the Education Department at Museo Reina Sofía, on the building of collective memory and the development of an archive of artistic-educational practices as a tool for collective knowledge. She has also co-taught on the OEI's Artistic Education course, coordinated by Pedagogías Invisibles, and collaborates in the teacher training workshop Mejor me callo, run by María Acaso, organised by PLANEA.

MARIANA KAPLAN CASTRO

Montevideo, 1987

MA in Cultural Mediation by the Universitat de Valencia and Industrial Designer by the Universidad de la República de Uruguay.

She is an artist, educator and researcher. Her work focuses on the coordination, designing and development of projects that combine art and education. She initiated the international and transdisciplinary project Library of Conversations, which focuses on collaborative research and practices at the intersection of the arts and sciences, supported by the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam.

Conformó el proyecto internacional y transdisciplinario «Library of Conversations», un grupo de investigación sobre prácticas colaborativas en la intersección de las artes y las ciencias, apoyado por el Museo Boijmans Van Beuningen, en Rotterdam.

Durante dos años, colaboró con Pedagogías Invisibles co-diseñando el programa de mediación cultural del Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC). Ha diseñado las jornadas de profesionalización de la XV edición del festival de danza Dans’illot, en Mallorca. Actualmente, desarrolla en Montevideo un proyecto artístico y de investigación espacial y corporal con el apoyo de Fundación Itaú.

LAURA MARTÍNEZ BIGOZZI

Buenos Aires, 1986

MA in Cultural Mediation by the Universitat de Valencia. Professor and BA in Arts by the Universidad de Buenos Aires.

She is a teacher, researcher, and cultural manager. She develops her career in the fields of art education and visual arts in schools, museums, and community centers.

Ha recibido el reconocimiento del Servicio de Educación del Ayuntamiento de Valencia para llevar adelante la residencia artística Marrón en una escuela primaria. Es miembro de EPEA (Experiencias Pedagógicas en Educación a través del Arte), un colectivo de educadorxs de distintas formaciones y pertenencias institucionales centrado en el rol de las artes en la escuela, junto con lxs que desarrolla jornadas de intercambio y difusión, proyectos de investigación, talleres y activaciones.

Currently, she coordinates the educational team of the Buenos Aires Museo and works as a teacher in teacher training programs and in high schools.
